Brooke Kelly Named YSCC Player of the Week

CONCORD, N.H. - NHTI Volleyball sophomore captain Brooke Kelly (Nottingham, N.H.) has been named the Yankee Small College Conference Player of the Week for Fall Week 2, the conference announced Tuesday.

Kelly helped the Lynx remain unbeaten with a pair of straight-set victories during the award period, defeating Southern Maine Community College in a YSCC match at home Sept. 10 before earning a road win at Bunker Hill Community College Sept. 12.

The outside and middle hitter totaled 18 kills, 19 assists, six service aces, 13 digs, and six blocks across the two matches. Kelly opened the week with eight kills, 17 assists, five aces, five digs, and four blocks in NHTI's 3-0 victory over Southern Maine. Two days later, she recorded 10 kills, eight digs, two solo blocks, two assists, and an ace as the Lynx swept Bunker Hill.

Through three matches this season, Kelly has recorded 26 kills, 19 assists, eight aces, 24 digs, and six total blocks, helping NHTI to its undefeated start. The Lynx have won each of their first four matches in straight sets and are off to their best start since 2017, when NHTI went on to win the YSCC Championship.

As a freshman, Kelly led the team with 33 total blocks, finished second with 121 kills, and ranked third with 20 service aces and 127 digs.

Kelly is in her second season with NHTI after a three-year varsity career at Dover High School, where she served as team captain and was part of Dover's 2024 State Final Four team. She was also named to the 17 Club Division 1 All-Tournament Team prior to joining the Lynx.

NHTI returns to YSCC action Thursday, Sept. 17, traveling to York County Community College for a 4 p.m. conference match.
