CONCORD, N.H. — NHTI Athletics is excited to announce Brad DeGaetano as the new head coach of the Lynx women's soccer program, with Corey Laycock joining the staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.
DeGaetano brings a deep connection to NHTI and coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, and club levels. An NHTI alumnus and former Lynx student-athlete, he previously served as an assistant coach at NHTI from 2024 to 2025. His coaching background also includes stops with Seacoast United, Pembroke Academy, Merrimack High School, and FC Stars.
As a student-athlete at NHTI, DeGaetano played two seasons for the Lynx men's soccer programs, helping NHTI make two national tournament appearances. He scored more than 30 goals during his career and earned All-Conference recognition in both seasons.
Before NHTI, DeGaetano played club soccer for Manchester United and Bedford Classics and competed for four years at Manchester Central High School.
DeGaetano earned an associate degree in General Studies from NHTI before receiving a bachelor's degree in Education from Plymouth State University. He also holds a National D coaching license.
For DeGaetano, returning to NHTI as head coach provides an opportunity to give back to a school and program that played an important role in his own development.
"I am passionate about using soccer as a tool to help young women grow both on and off the field," DeGaetano said. "My background as an NHTI student-athlete, educator, and coach has shaped my belief that successful coaching is about much more than wins and losses."
DeGaetano emphasized building strong relationships with student-athletes, creating a positive and competitive team culture, and helping each player reach her individual potential.
"As an NHTI alumnus, I have personal connection to the school and understand the opportunities that a two-year college can provide student-athletes," DeGaetano said. "I am excited to give back to a program that played an important role in my own development and to help create an environment where student-athletes feel supported, challenged, and proud to represent NHTI."
Laycock joins the Lynx with an extensive soccer background of his own. A goalkeeper for the U.S. Men's National Amputee Soccer Team and Revolution Amputee Soccer, Laycock also coaches with Seacost United and has completed graduate studies in Coaching Education—Soccer at Ohio University.
Together, DeGaetano and Laycock will lead NHTI Women's Soccer into the 2026 season as the Lynx begin a new chapter under their new coaching staff.
