ALBANY, N.Y. - Men's Basketball capped off its season with a 99-89 win against Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Sunday.
The Panthers started off hot from the field, knocking down five of their first six shots from the field to open with a commanding 14-3 lead over the visiting Lynx.
NHTI shifted the momentum they needed when Christian Forsythe scored eight of Lynx next 13 points the hosts' lead to five.
To close out the first, Max Shosa led the charge for NHTI, adding nine rebounds to go along with 12 points in the opening 20, while Kayden Roberts added 11 including a late three that gave the Lynx a 41-37 lead heading into the break.
In a high-scoring second half, the Lynx never took their foot off the gas. Roberts erupted, connecting on six of his eight total threes en route to career-high 31 points. Shosa also made his presence known, tallying 23 points and 15 rebounds, while AJ Richardson chipped in 18 points off the bench.
Nathan Lynes led Albany with 23 points, including 21 in the second half.
With the win, NHTI closed out its season by winning five of its final seven games and finished with an overall record of 5-15.
