NHTI Women's Soccer gets off on the right foot at UMaine Augusta.
 
After the first game of the season being canceled just hours before kickoff, the women's soccer team hit the road and traveled north to open up YSCC conference play against UMA.
 
Adrienne Dorr opened the scoring with a left footed shot from outside the box that went into the side netting past the keeper. Kayla Amyot made the score 2-0 just before half on a pass from Dorr that found the back of the net and put the Lynx up going into halftime.
 
Coming out of the half Dorr took a ball over the top from Piper Flood that she was able to put far post and in the back of the net past the UMA keeper. Continuing the half, our Lynx scored again off of a beautiful corner kick from Darci Stone and Dorr was able to head the ball past the keeper for her third of the game. Alyviah Blad closed out the scoring with a pretty individual effort that saw her beat two defenders and send a shot into the upper corner from the right side of the box.
 
The Lynx return to action Tuesday 9/9 at CMCC for a 6:00 pm kickoff.
