NHTI Lynx Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Set to Begin Postseason Journey

CONCORD, NH - As the autumn leaves fall and the brisk New England air sets in, the NHTI Lynx Men's and Women's soccer teams gear up for an exciting postseason. The Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Playoffs are on the horizon, promising intense battles on the pitch.

For the Women's Lynx team, the regular season was marked by impressive performances from a talented roster. Freshman sensation Adrienne Dorr, who plays as a forward and midfielder, made an immediate impact, showcasing her remarkable skills on the field. Dorr played in 8 games, starting in 7, and recorded 12 goals and 6 assists, accumulating an impressive total of 30 points despite missing two games. Her exceptional contributions undoubtedly played a crucial role in the team's success.

Equally essential to the Lynx's triumph was the returning All-Conference defender, Morgan Rule. Her steadfast presence in the backline provided a solid foundation for the team's defense throughout the season.

Eva LaValley, a versatile sophomore player, exhibited her prowess in various positions. LaValley participated in 10 games, starting in 8, and contributed with 11 goals and 3 assists, accumulating 25 points. Her adaptability and skill set made her a valuable asset for the team.

In the Women's Quarterfinal, scheduled for Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 AM, the Lynx will face a formidable opponent in the Southern Maine CC (SMCC) Seawolves. With standouts like Dorr, Rule, and LaValley leading the charge, the Lynx are poised for a competitive showdown as they aim to progress in the playoffs. In two previous meetings against the Seawolves this season, the Lynx earned two shutout wins.

On the Men's side, standout players Antoine Leary and Aiden Phelps spearheaded the team's journey throughout the regular season. Leary led the Lynx with 8 goals and 3 assists, an impressive 19 points. His scoring touch made him a focal point of the team's offensive strategy, and he will be a player to watch as the Men's Lynx team advances in the postseason.

Aiden Phelps was defensively excellent in the regular season, maintaining a strong backline for the Lynx. As one of the team's leaders, his commitment to the team's defensive efforts and moral was instrumental in their success.

The Men's Quarterfinal is set for this Sunday at 1:00 PM, where the Lynx will square off against the Paul Smith's College Bobcats. With Leary's offensive firepower and Phelps' defensive acumen, the Men's Lynx will look to secure a victory and advance to the YSCC Semifinal.

As the postseason journey begins for both the Men's and Women's NHTI Lynx soccer teams, the NHTI and Concord, NH community eagerly awaits the exciting matchups that lie ahead. Soccer fans will be treated to an exhilarating display of talent and determination as these teams battle in the YSCC Playoffs.
