NHTI picked up their first win of the season in a 4-1 victory against VTSU-Randolph. The scoring started with
Naseef Bryan losing his defender and sending a brilliant cross to
Ethan Frenette for the game's first goal. Frenette would later draw contact in the box which set up a penalty kick for the Lynx.
Sotir Agalliu would promptly bury the chance into the lower left corner of the goal.
With a 2-0 halftime cushion, it was
Daniel Kalabic's turn to make a run on a long-played ball, Kalabic would draw contact from behind and his team's second penalty kick of the game. This time,
Ethan Piccolo was the taker and he casually launched the shot into the right side of the net.
Jackson Southern, who dominated the midfield all game, got inside the box and set up Kalabic for the 4-0 lead. A late penalty goal for the Knights got them on the board and no further as they ultimately fell 4-1.
NHTI controlled possession and ended with a 13-5 advantage on SOG. They also had a 10-3 advantage on corner kicks. Aaron Barrieu picked up his first career win, making four saves in the effort. NHTI will have its next test on the 21st, as they take on Roxbury CC at 1:00 for homecoming weekend.
