WORCESTER, Mass. – NHTI Baseball continued its fall schedule Tuesday afternoon, falling 13-0 to Quinsigamond Community College in a scrimmage at Chupka Baseball Field. The game was originally scheduled for nine innings but was shortened due to the mercy rule.
The matchup was scheduled as a doubleheader for Sunday, Sept. 20, before being postponed due to weather and rescheduled as a single game Tuesday.
NHTI recorded seven hits in the contest, while Quinsigamond finished with 12.
Tuesday's result does not count toward NHTI's official record, which remains 1-2 on the season.
The Lynx return home Saturday, Sept. 26, for a scrimmage doubleheader against Massasoit Community College beginning at noon at NHTI Baseball Field. NHTI returns to countable play Sunday, Sept. 27, when it hosts the University of Maine at Augusta at 1 p.m.
