CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Baseball sophomore Sean Kilcoyne (North Andover, Mass.) has been named the Yankee Small College Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Week Seven following a standout two-way performance during the Lynx's final week of fall competition.
Kilcoyne highlighted the week with a seven-inning complete game and a first-inning grand slam in NHTI's 5-1 victory over Kent State University at Tuscarawas on Sunday, Oct. 18, in the Lynx's final game of the fall season.
On the mound, Kilcoyne allowed just four hits and one unearned run across seven innings, striking out 11 batters without issuing a walk on 99 pitches. He struck out the side in both the third and seventh innings, closing out his first career complete game with three consecutive strikeouts to secure his first pitching victory of the fall.
Kilcoyne also delivered at the plate, launching a grand slam to left field in the bottom of the first inning for the first home run of his collegiate career. The four-run blast gave NHTI an early advantage and accounted for four of the Lynx's five runs in the victory.
Earlier in the week, Kilcoyne contributed to NHTI's 9-5 conference victory at Vermont State University Randolph (Oct. 14). He finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at the plate while striking out seven batters across 4.1 innings on the mound.
Across the two contests, Kilcoyne went 3-for-5 (.600) with a home run, a double and five RBI. He also totaled 18 strikeouts across 11.1 innings pitched, highlighted by his complete-game performance in the fall finale.
Kilcoyne concluded the fall season batting .333 with five hits in 15 at-bats, recording one double, one home run, six RBI and a .600 slugging percentage across six appearances. His home run places him in a tie for seventh in the YSCC.
On the mound, the sophomore finished the fall with a 1-0 record and a 4.40 ERA across 14.1 innings pitched, striking out 25 batters in three starts. He finished second on the team in strikeouts, behind TJ Charbono's 35.
Kilcoyne is in his second season with the Lynx after appearing in three games as a freshman in 2025-26. He entered the fall having pitched 1.1 collegiate innings and had yet to record a home run. His performance against Kent State Tuscarawas marked his first career complete game and first collegiate home run.
The weekly recognition comes as NHTI concludes its fall schedule, and marks the second weekly honor of the season for the Lynx after Daniel Sherkanowski (Bristol, N.H.) earned YSCC Player of the Week Honors for Week Five (Oct. 7).
The Lynx are scheduled to return to competition Sunday, March 28, 2027, with a road doubleheader against Bryant & Stratton College–Albany beginning at noon.
