CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Baseball opens Homecoming Weekend Saturday afternoon when the Lynx host Masters Academy International in a scrimmage in Concord.

First pitch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday's matchup serves as NHTI's final tune-up before returning to Yankee Small College Conference play Sunday afternoon against the University of Maine at Augusta.

The meeting will be the first between NHTI and Masters Academy International. Masters Academy's baseball program features year-round instruction and plays a competitive schedule of more than 50 games throughout the East Coast.

NHTI enters the weekend 1-3 overall in countable games and 0-2 in YSCC play.

NHTI earned its lone countable victory Sept. 15 with a 3-2 win over Vermont State University Randolph. The Lynx have also faced Roxbury Community College, Bridgton Academy, Vermont State University Lyndon and Quinsigamond Community College in scrimmages and exhibitions throughout the fall.

Saturday's contest will not count toward NHTI's overall record. Live statistics and a live stream will not be available for the scrimmage.

Fans attending Saturday's scrimmage can also visit the NHTI Baseball merchandise tent behind the home dugout, with game hats, T-shirts, batting practice jackets, stickers and more available.

The Lynx then return to conference action Sunday at 2 p.m. when they host the University of Maine at Augusta at the NHTI Baseball Field. The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 27 before being postponed and moved to Homecoming Weekend. As a result, Sunday's previously scheduled scrimmage with New England College has been canceled.

Sunday's matchup will be NHTI's first countable home game since Sept. 30 and gives the Lynx an opportunity to return to the win column in YSCC play.
