CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Men's Soccer concluded its 2026 season earlier this month, finishing 0-8-2 overall and 0-7-1 in Yankee Small College Conference play during its first campaign under interim head coach Jarrod Smith.
Smith was named interim head coach Aug. 24, bringing collegiate coaching experience from Clark University, Suffolk University, and Wellesley College. The Lynx opened their competitive season Sept. 8 at Northern Essex Community College before beginning conference play Sept. 17 at Central Maine Community College.
Several Lynx recorded notable individual performances throughout the fall, led by Delvaughn Daley (Randolph, Mass.) who paced NHTI with six goals, two assists, and 14 points across eight appearances. His six goals ranked among the top 10 in the Yankee Small College Conference at the conclusion of the regular season.
Daley accounted for six of the team's 13 goals during the season, recording 21 shots and placing 13 on goal. He scored twice in NHTI's 2-2 draw against Word of Life Bible Institute Oct. 3 before adding two more goals in a 3-3 draw at Roxbury Community College Oct. 10.
Jacob Hanson (Pembroke, N.H.) followed with two goals and two assists for six points, tying Daley for the team lead in assists. Geovanni Lopez (Manchester, N.H.), Alexander Musienko, and Japhari Ramadhani (Manchester, N.H.) each contributed a goal and an assist, while Kombozi Amosi (Manchester, N.H.) and Dominic Davis (Pembroke, N.H.) also found the back of the net during the season.
In goal, Kurt Olson and Daniel Sherkanowski (Bristol, N.H.) stepped into unfamiliar roles to help the Lynx throughout the season. Olson volunteered to take on goalkeeping duties and developed into a consistent presence in net, appearing in six contests and recording 47 saves with a .701 save percentage across 540 minutes. Sherkanowski, a member of the NHTI Baseball team, also answered the call when needed, making three appearances in goal and totaling 18 saves across 270 minutes before contributing as a field player later in the season.
NHTI's first draw of the season came during Homecoming Weekend against Word of Life Oct. 3, when Daley scored both goals in the 2-2 result. One week later, the Lynx recorded their highest-scoring performance of the season in a 3-3 draw at Roxbury (Oct. 10), with Daley scoring twice and Musienko adding the third goal.
The Lynx finished their nine played contests with 13 goals, eight assists, and 157 shots, including 56 on goal.
NHTI last took the field Oct. 14 against Southern Maine Community College, with its scheduled Oct. 17 finale at York County Community College subsequently recorded as a forfeit.
The Lynx will look toward the 2027 season following their first year under Smith.
