CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Softball concluded the fall portion of its 2026-27 season Monday, Oct. 5, completing six countable non-conference contests as the program returned to competition under head coach Rachael Vallese (Hudson, N.Y.).
After being unable to field a team during the 2025-26 season, the Lynx returned to the diamond Sept. 14, 2026, opening their 2026-27 schedule with a doubleheader against Central Maine Community College. NHTI went on to face Southern Maine Community College and Central Maine again, Sept. 30 and Oct. 5, respectively, finishing the fall with an 0-6 overall record.
Several Lynx produced notable individual performances throughout the fall.
Kaitlyn Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) led NHTI offensively, batting .571 (8-for-14) with five runs scored, a double, and four stolen bases. Her batting average leads the Yankee Small College Conference following the fall portion of the 2026-27 season, while her .600 on-base percentage leads the Lynx.
Ellie Procunier (Buckeye, Ariz.) followed with a .462 batting average, recording six hits, including a double and a triple, while adding four runs scored and four stolen bases. Haley Hebert (Litchfield, N.H.) contributed five hits and a team-leading five RBIs, batting .333 across six appearances.
As a team, NHTI finished the fall with 29 hits, 12 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases across its six contests.
The Lynx will resume their 2026-27 campaign in the spring, when they begin Yankee Small College Conference play. NHTI is currently scheduled to host the University of Maine at Augusta in a doubleheader April 18, with additional contests potentially being added to the spring schedule.
