NHTI fell 7–2 to Albany College of Pharmacy on Sunday afternoon at New England College, as the Panthers' attack was led by a standout four-goal performance from Ian Rathbun.
Nick Kuban opened the scoring for Albany less than a minute into the match, finishing off a pass from Rathbun. The Panthers extended their lead throughout the first half with goals from Rathbun (37', 42') and Logan Vamosy (40'), taking a commanding 4–0 advantage into halftime.
Rathbun added his third goal of the afternoon in the 53rd minute, assisted by Zackary Murphy. The NHTI offense broke through 23 minutes into the second half when Delvaughn Daley converted to make it 5–1, but Albany's offense continued to roll. Zackary Murphy added a goal in the 73rd minute, before Rathbun capped the scoring for Albany in the 81st minute.
Late in the game, NHTI added a second goal on an untouchable free kick from Joey Olivera.
In goal, Torrence Johnson made eight saves for NHTI, while Jacob Amaral stopped 12 shots for Albany.
The loss drops NHTI to 3–6 overall and 1-5 in YSCC play. The Lynx are back in action on Wednesday, October 15th when they host Southern Maine CC.
