CONCORD, N.H. — The NHTI men's soccer team faced one of the conference's top offenses on Wednesday afternoon, falling 12–1 to Southern Maine Community College in Yankee Small College Conference play.
Southern Maine built an early lead, courtesy of Luke Gorczok's opening goal in the 14th minute. The Seawolves added five more goals in the first half, including two from Kaden Pillsbury, to take a 6-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, Tim Eulenberger and Jil-Emmanuel Sehr each scored twice, while Delvaughn Daley added the lone goal for the Lynx in the 79th minute.
Torrence Johnson made nine saves in net for NHTI, while Ethan Homa stopped one shot for the Seawolves.
With the result, NHTI drops to 3-8 overall and 1-7 in conference play, while SMCC improves to 10-2-1 overall and 7-1 in YSCC action.
NHTI returns to action on Saturday, October 18th at 2:00 PM versus Hampshire College.
