NHTI continued its dominant season Thursday afternoon with a decisive 3–0 victory over Central Maine Community College in Yankee Small College Conference play. The win keeps the Lynx unbeaten at 9–0 overall and 8–0 in conference, while the Mustangs drop to 3–6–4.
The Lynx broke through in the 24th minute when Eva LaValley capitalized on a cross from Alyviah Blad, slotting the ball past the keeper to give NHTI the early lead. Just before halftime, Piper Flood doubled the advantage, burying a shot from outside the box to make it 2–0 at the break.
NHTI kept the pressure on throughout the second half, adding insurance in the 79th minute when Kayla Amyot found the back of the net off an assist from Adrienne Dorr, who pounced on a rebound spilled by Mustangs goalkeeper Devyn Eliasen, sealing the 3–0 result.
The Lynx controlled possession from start to finish, outshooting Central Maine 28–0 with a 13–0 advantage in shots on goal. Hailey Knight earned the shutout for NHTI with two saves, while Eliasen finished with 10 stops to keep the Mustangs competitive.
NHTI plays host to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Services at New England College on Sunday, October 12, at 12:00 PM.
