CONCORD, N.H. - NHTI Volleyball returns to action Friday afternoon when the Lynx travel to Roxbury, Mass. to take on Roxbury Community College. First serve, originally scheduled for 4 p.m., is now scheduled for 6 p.m. at Madison Park High School.
NHTI enters Friday's matchup with a 1-0 record after opening the 2026 season with a straight-set victory over Northern Essex Community College on Thursday evening. The Lynx hit .212 in the victory while recording 32 kills, 30 assists, 12 service aces, and 50 digs.
Freshman
Ashlynn Williams (Greenfield, N.H.) highlighted the season-opening performance with a .385 hitting percentage, five service aces, and 11 digs. Freshman
Esther de Souza Quina (Juiz de Fora, Brazil) hit .250 while adding eight digs and two blocks, while freshman
Emma Kowalski (Salem, N.H.) contributed with three aces and five digs.
Roxbury enters Friday's matchup with an 0-1 record after opening its season with a 3-1 loss to Vermont State University Randolph on August 29.
Friday's matchup will mark the second recorded meeting between the two programs. NHTI won the lone previous matchup, earning a 3-0 sweep at Roxbury on Sept. 3, 2024. The Lynx took the three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-10, and 25-18.
With a victory Friday, NHTI would open the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.
