Box Score HAVERHILL, Mass. - NHTI Volleyball opened the 2026 regular season with a straight-set victory over Northern Essex Community College on Thursday evening at the Sport and Fitness Center Gymnasium.
The Lynx swept the Knights, 3-0, taking the three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-21 to begin open the season 1-0.
NHTI finished the match with 32 kills on a .212 hitting percentage while recording 30 assists, 12 service aces and 50 digs. The Lynx held Northern Essex to a .061 hitting percentage and owned a 12-3 advantage in service aces.
Freshman
Ashlynn Williams (Greenfield, N.H.) posted a .385 hitting percentage while adding five aces and 11 digs in her collegiate debut. Freshman
Esther de Souza Quina (Juiz de Fora, Brazil) hit .250 with eight digs and two blocks, while freshman
Emma Kowalski (Salem, N.H.) added three aces and five digs. Freshman
Haven Schwartz (Buxton, N.C.) recorded eight digs.
NHTI recorded 10 kills in the opening set before pulling away for a 25-19 victory. The Lynx took control from the service line in the second, recording seven aces while posting a 73.3% side-out percentage en route to a 25-14 win. NHTI closed out the sweep with its strongest offensive set of the night, tallying 13 kills and hitting .231 in the 25-21 third-set victory.
