CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Golf returns to competition Sunday afternoon for its second event in as many days, traveling to Cape Elizabeth, Maine, for the Southern Maine Community College Invitational at Purpoodock Club.

The 18-hole event is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

The Lynx enter Sunday following their first official result of the 2026 season Saturday at the Kennebec Valley Community College Invitational at Fogg Brook Resort. NHTI placed fourth in the six-team Yankee Small College Conference field with a team score of 355, finishing 67-over par.

The University of Maine at Augusta captured Saturday's team title at 27-over (315), followed by Southern Maine Community College at 43-over (331) and host Kennebec Valley Community College at 50-over (338). NHTI finished ahead of Paul Smith's College at 102-over (390) and Washington County Community College at 220-over (508).

Sunday marks another opportunity for the Lynx to compete against YSCC opposition after the team's originally scheduled season opener, the NHTI Fall Invitational on Sept. 13, was called due to rain before official results could be recorded.

The SMCC Invitational begins a stretch of three consecutive Sundays of competition for NHTI. The Lynx will return to Maine for the Moose Invitational at The Meadows Golf Club in Litchfield on Sept. 27 before competing in the YSCC Championship on Oct. 4.
