CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine – NHTI Golf finished fifth in the seven-team field Sunday afternoon at the Southern Maine Community College Invitational at Purpoodock Club, finishing the event at 55-over par.
Second-year Bronson Ammann led the Lynx for the second consecutive day, carding an 80. Ammann also paced NHTI with an 80 Saturday at the Kennebec Valley Community College Invitational.
Luke Vattes followed with an 85, while Brett Thorpe shot an 86 and Brycen Lubelcyzk finished with an 88. Daniel Korth rounded out NHTI's five-player lineup with a 122.
The Lynx completed their second official event in as many days after placing fourth of six teams at 67-over Saturday at the KVCC Invitational. NHTI's 55-over mark Sunday was 12 strokes lower relative to par than its result the previous day.

The back-to-back events marked NHTI's first two completed competitions of the 2026 season. The Lynx were originally scheduled to open the year Sept. 13 with the NHTI Fall Invitational at Beaver Meadow Golf Course, but the event was called due to rain before official results could be recorded.

NHTI returns to competition Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Moose Invitational at The Meadows Golf Club in Litchfield, Maine. The event is the Lynx's final scheduled competition before the YSCC Championship on Oct. 4.
