Volleyball continued its unbeaten start Thursday afternoon, earning a 3-0 victory over York County Community College in Yankee Small College Conference action.
The Lynx took the opening set 25-22 before pulling away for a 25-16 victory in the second. NHTI
closed out the sweep with another 25-22 win in the third set.
With the victory, NHTI improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in YSCC play. The Lynx have won each of their first five matches in straight sets and have yet to drop a set this season.
Thursday marked the first meeting between NHTI and YCCC, which is competing in its inaugural volleyball season. It was also the Lynx's second conference match of the year after opening YSCC play with a 3-0 victory over Southern Maine Community College on Sept. 10.
Early in the conference season, NHTI is the only remaining unbeaten team in the YSCC East and one of just two unbeaten teams in conference play overall. The other is Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, which sits at 1-0 in the YSCC West.
Those two unbeaten conference teams will meet Friday night when NHTI returns to Concord to open the YSCC Volleyball Crossover Weekend against Albany at 7 p.m. The matchup begins a stretch of four conference matches in three days for the Lynx at the Dr. Goldie Crocker Wellness Center.
NHTI will also face Vermont State University Randolph at noon Saturday before taking on Paul Smith's College at 2 p.m. and Word of Life at 4 p.m. Sunday.
