CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI Golf will compete for a conference title Sunday afternoon when the Lynx travel to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for the 2026 Yankee Small College Conference Championship at Pease Golf Course.

The championship, hosted by Great Bay Community College, is scheduled to begin at noon.

NHTI enters Sunday seeking its eighth YSCC championship and first since 2018. The Lynx have captured seven conference titles since 2005, winning in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018. NHTI won four consecutive championships from 2011-14.

The Lynx enter the postseason after a weather-shortened fall schedule. NHTI placed fourth out of six teams at the Kennebec Valley Community College Invitational on Sept. 19 before finishing fifth out of seven the following day at the Southern Maine Community College Invitational.

The team's scheduled season-opening NHTI Fall Invitational on Sept. 13 was called due to rain, while the Sept. 27 Moose Invitational was postponed because of weather.

Sophomore Bronson Ammann provides NHTI with championship experience after tying for fourth individually at the 2025 YSCC Championship. He returns this fall alongside a young Lynx roster featuring freshmen Daniel Korth, Brycen Lubelcyzk, Brett Thorpe and Luke Vattes.

NHTI's five golfers will tee off between 12:10 and 1:10 p.m., beginning with Ammann at 12:10. Vattes follows at 12:20, Lubelcyzk at 12:30, Thorpe at 12:50 and Korth at 1:10.

Southern Maine Community College enters Sunday as the two-time defending YSCC champion after winning the 2025 team title by eight strokes over the University of Maine at Augusta. SMCC has won eight conference championships since 2005 and will seek its third consecutive title Sunday. Host Great Bay captured the championship in 2023.
