Keith Matte was named head men's basketball coach at NHTI in 2025, bringing more than two decades of coaching, teaching and program-building experience to the Lynx. A highly respected figure in New Hampshire basketball, Matte built a successful coaching career at Lebanon High School, where his teams earned three NHIAA state championships, made 24 straight tournament appearances, and posted 23 winning seasons, including two undefeated seasons. He is a three-time NHBCO Coach of the Year and is widely regarded for developing leaders, building culture, and running a fast, disciplined, player-centered system.
Alongside his coaching career, Matte taught physics for 17 years and also served as a high school principal for 10 years, bringing a broad background of education, leadership, and student development to the collegiate level.
Matte is also the author of the best-selling book The Raider Way, which reached No. 1 on Amazon's Coaching College Basketball list in 2024.
At NHTI, Matte is dedicated to building a competitive, high-character program that plays "the right way"- fast, connected, and with the freedom to make reads and play through mistakes.
