CONCORD, N.H. – NHTI welcomed alumni, students, student-athletes and members of the college community back to campus Oct. 3-4 for Homecoming Weekend, bringing together two days of athletics, alumni events, food and activities across campus.
Athletics served as the centerpiece of the weekend, with a busy home schedule giving alumni and supporters several opportunities to return to campus and watch the Lynx compete.
Saturday began with a combined men's and women's alumni soccer match before NHTI Men's Soccer opened its home schedule against Word of Life. The Lynx earned their first points of the season in the matchup, battling to a 2-2 draw.
Baseball also took the field Saturday for a scrimmage against Masters Academy International, while Homecoming activities continued across campus throughout the afternoon. Recreational offerings included cornhole, wiffleball, football and futsal, giving those in attendance additional ways to take part in the weekend.
Food was also available throughout the celebration, with Stacy's Grill on campus Saturday and Sunday and Northbound BBQ joining Saturday's festivities. NHTI Baseball also hosted a pop-up shop during its Saturday scrimmage.
The weekend continued Sunday morning with a Homecoming pancake breakfast before another full afternoon of competition and alumni activities.
Former Lynx returned to the diamond for the NHTI Softball alumni game, while Volleyball hosted Central Maine Community College in a Yankee Small College Conference matchup inside the Dr. Goldie Crocker Wellness Center. Central Maine earned a 3-1 victory.
Men's Soccer returned to action later Sunday, while Baseball closed out the weekend's home athletics schedule with a YSCC contest. The Lynx fell 3-0 in men's soccer and 4-2 in baseball.
While Homecoming activities continued in Concord, NHTI Golf was also representing the Lynx on the road Sunday at the Yankee Small College Conference Championship. NHTI finished third as a team, while Bronson Ammann (Hopkinton, N.H.) earned one of three spots on the YSCC All-Tournament Team.
Homecoming Weekend provided a chance for the NHTI community to reconnect through a packed athletics schedule, alumni events and campus activities, bringing current and former Lynx together across the two-day celebration.
